Overview

Designing The business E-commerce website of Alilo Israel, which is currently introducing the flagship product of the global Alilo company: The Smart Bunny. This is an interactive toy for toddlers aged 0-4 that encourages development and thinking. In the future, the company is interested in bringing in more interactive toys of the global Alilo brand.

The Solution

  1. Synchronizing between the stakeholders’ goals (the Alilo company) and the users’ needs.
  2. Combining both an image website and E-commerce, while in the first stage, there is only one product.
  3. Preparing the infrastructure for a complex E-commerce website that is currently not be displayed.

Final UI Design

1. Business Goals Understanding

I began the process by a meeting with Alilo Israel’s CEO to learn about the brand, the product, and the target audience. Together we clarified the business goals which the website funnel should serve. We defined the business goals:
  1. Selling the Smart-Bunny
  2. Creating an impression; the website is going to be the face of the company online
  3. Collecting “leads”
The funnel should lead to the purchase of the toy.

The goals definition is intended to define KPIs which enable us to examine the effectiveness of the website later.

It was important to understand who the competitors are:

1. Other interactive and sophisticated children’s toys. For example, the “University” toy.
2. The big toy stores as competitors at the moment. However, the target is to make them become customers.
3. Once the product reaches the market, imitations may appear.

2. User Reasearch

Who Are the Users?

4. Wireframing

I created HI-FI wireframes in order to make a rough version of my ideas and solution. In this way I could easily refine them, and more important, make sure with my client that we are on the same page before starting the final UI design.

The sections which marked in red, will be hidden at the first stage.

5. UI Design

What does the brand stand for?

Before starting the final UI design, it was important to emphasize the principles that Alilo company stands for as a brand, so I could later emphasize these in my design. I conducted a brainstorming session with the CEO and two of the designers at the studio, during which we outlined the brand’s main attributes.
